I would like to welcome you to the Basque lessons. I'm here to help you learn Basque, by going step by step. All the lessons contain audio and are all offered for free. We will learn the alphabet together. We will also review some simple grammar rules, practice common phrases, and we will have fun memorizing many important vocabulary lists, and everything else that you see below.

Tips:	A standardized form of the Basque language, called Euskara Batua, was developed by the Basque Language Academy in the late 1960s. It was created so that Basque language could be used-and easily understood by all Basque speakers Apart from this standardized version, there are five main Basque dialects: Bizkaian, Gipuzkoan, and Upper Navarrese in Spain, and Navarrese-Lapurdian and Zuberoan (in France).
